At the end of the cold war and beginning of the internet, an aspiring MIT graduate student becomes a target when her mentor seduces and tricks her into stealing technology secrets for the Soviet Union.

An FBI agent struggling with computers and his career digs into both the espionage and Mev’s past while the clock ticks on her mentor’s debt to Boston’s Irish mob. As threats from the mob, the Russians, and the FBI pile up, Mev relies on friends and the hacker underground to stay one step ahead of the investigation and to outwit and out-maneuver them all.

Raven is positioned as the first book in a series that will chronicle the rise of the internet and encryption technologies, search, social media, and the moral and ethical dilemmas they create as they change how we live, work, keep secrets, and wage war.
